Horse buying - losing the will

Oddly enough, now that I think about it, I am not into Iberians having white legs either. My WB had 2 white hind legs and a blaze, but it worked for him. That color (chestnut and white) on an Iberian? Not interested ?

I say that full well knowing that I'm a sucker for a good horse and wouldn't be surprised to find myself owning just opposite of what I want (looks wise) someday!

But feathers, so much hair! One of the schooling horses is a spotted cob and they clipped his feathers off, he's like a completely different horse!

A spotted, feathery cob sounds absolutely divine.

I'm not sure if this is the right horse, but I think it won't pass a vet or there is some kind of small issue, might have got the wrong one though!

Let’s keep that to pms if anyone’s interested, or better yet, let interested people contact the owner. I only put the pic up to show what I think is a beautiful horse. I’d rather not have it mentioned in a derogatory manner on here.

Good luck with your new horse, so much to look forward to.

A loan horse has just come up on a local page. Best advert I have ever seen.

Tentatively looking to put my one of a kind teamchaser out on loan due to some SH 1 T happening.
16 1/2hh chestnut pocket rocket and most emphatically not a novice ride, he rides like a rocket-fuelled Nissan Skyline with a jammed accelerator. Jumps anything you point him at at terrifying warp speed unless he's behind when his mates run out at which point you have more chance of jumping it yourself. Leads well, probably best of all running second, but will completely flatten anyone who checks in front of him without a second thought. Sometimes loses ability to turn resulting in full circuits of the field at the Cotswolds screaming 'GO LEFT YOU BAR STEWARD' before message sinks in. Waterford fulmer gag has helped this situation somewhat.
Great to take out and about unless you take his friend away at which point he will lose his tiny mind and destroy you, your trailer, and everything you ever loved.
Requires approximately 9.678 tonnes of oats, conditioning mix and alfabeet per day not to look like something you will have the RSPCA regularly called out to when without a rug.
Brilliant to clip, shoe, dentist, etc but for gods sake don't take his companion away during any of these activities if you don't want Satan on your hands.
Loves showjumping. Loves it. Sets off like Denman at the foot of the Cheltenham hill when he catches sight of coloured poles arrayed in front of him.
Hacks out alone or in company with equal enthusiasm. Enjoys long walks in the country and long walks on the beach, if you replace 'walks' with 'flat out galloping'.
Schools surprisingly well for his llama bloodlines. Definitely ability there to do a test or two. Note: I did not say 'well'.
Genuinely lovely, talented, fun, exciting and all round brilliant horse with no vices to have around, one of the most fantastic XC horses I've ever sat on but definitely a thoroughbred.

?
I think 'definitely a thoroughbred' at the end pretty much sums it up (not that I'm saying all thoroughbreds are like this)

Any idea when the market will crash? I need a companion from late autumn as we are having to move, so there will no longer be horses the other side of the fence if we take four out and leave one. Hoping to pick something up in September...

Love it!

Used to know one very similar, other than he'd go it alone. His owner was amazing. I couldn't ever ride one side of him half as well as she did.

I really hope the right person rocks up and all have an amazing time.

Well he’s here and seems to have settled ok. The rest of the herd are kind so that helps.
He’s bigger than I was expecting - although I’m sure not bigger than advertised. I think he was just smaller in my head ?
He’s also far, FAR nicer than he looked, and he looked nice enough. Amazing paces and presence. Just hope he’s quiet enough..!
He seems very kind but is slightly bewildered. In the last 3 weeks he’s come over from Ireland and now come to me, and he’s only 4. Bless him. I’m sure he’s been kindly treated though, he’s friendly.
I’m going to ride him tomorrow just for a quiet half hour walk, but I’m slightly, irrationally and uncharacteristically terrified about getting on. I think just because he’s 4 and unknown.

Must get my brave pants on!

Yours sound similar to the horse I bought unseen, mine is also 4 just a hand bigger. He arrived in the UK on Sunday and I put my brave pants on (I had a nervous wobble too) and rode him in the field Monday and have hacked him this week alone and in company, he hasn't really put a foot wrong, I'm hoping his not still in shock from the move!
Believe in yourself and him, and enjoy.
