Sick old horses? Im sorry if this sounds harsh but possibly in these difficult economic times PTS would be a better option. To ask people to contribute getting on for £400,000 is totally unrealistic!
Im old enough to be a realist.
Well said S. It's no good having pink fluffy clouds these days, things are far too expensive so the money is far better going to necessary neglect and cruelty cases than tie-ing up thousands each year on old horses that will never improve IMO. If the old owners thought enough of their horses they would not have shirked their responsibilities instead of passing the problem to someone else.

This lady Sara took these horses on when she didn't know that she had a long-term home or funding secured to keep them in the future. So who exactly has put them in their current danger of being pts? I'm afraid I get really p'd off when private individuals "rescue" a heap of animals that they can't afford to keep, and then expect the public to bail them out, set them up on a nice place to keep them etc.
