Mine is constantly pulling a front shoe. I have him shod every 5 weeks because his feet grow quickly. Last time, amazingly, we managed to keep the fronts on throughout. This time, farrier has had to come out after a week to replace on front and now today, he has lost another front.

Annoyingly, I know it is because of his shoulder. I have had McTimoney lady out several times because it is always his right foot, and he has the most problem in his right shoulder. He finds it hard in the school to canter on the right, and this is our problem.

Suggestions? Anyone think another style/school of chiropracter might help?

Farrier is very good - but even he said last time he came out, that he would have to shoe him differently to keep the shoes on, which isn't going to be helpful for him, if he keeps losing shoes.

Am at my wits end - so many people I know keep shoes on for 8 weeks or more, never have the back person in - and their horses are fine ...........!

Annoyingly, yes everyday. I am using rubber over reach boots because of the mud, and he takes great chunks out of them, so I am constantly swapping and buying more, so that he has a whole pair on every day.

OOH!!! Have just text farrier and asked him to google Shoesecure - sounds fab, so wish it would work! Thank you!

If it makes you feel any better my tb is constantly casting shoes too! Had the farrier out today to put one back on actually! He only does it though when the grounds wet and boggy! He seems to alternate between front and back! I agree, it's such a nuisance :(

My TB lost a shoe today as well! It must be the ground! Spent the whole evening searching for it in the field but couldn't find it :-( am now sat here worrying he is going to stand on it

Footlights- I wouldn't worry too much, I rarely ever find his shoes!! Its probably buried in mud from all this rain we've been getting :(

Footlights- oh no what an unfortunate accident :( try not to worry, if we get rain tonight I'm sure your tb will stand sheltered somewhere, they're pretty intelligent (well meant to be!!)

Does he need shoes on? It might take a bit of work to transition him to barefoot but in the long run you wouldn't be losing time every time he loses a shoe and has to wait for the farrier to come out.
