Mine is constantly pulling a front shoe. I have him shod every 5 weeks because his feet grow quickly. Last time, amazingly, we managed to keep the fronts on throughout. This time, farrier has had to come out after a week to replace on front and now today, he has lost another front.
Annoyingly, I know it is because of his shoulder. I have had McTimoney lady out several times because it is always his right foot, and he has the most problem in his right shoulder. He finds it hard in the school to canter on the right, and this is our problem.
Suggestions? Anyone think another style/school of chiropracter might help?
Farrier is very good - but even he said last time he came out, that he would have to shoe him differently to keep the shoes on, which isn't going to be helpful for him, if he keeps losing shoes.
Am at my wits end - so many people I know keep shoes on for 8 weeks or more, never have the back person in - and their horses are fine ...........!
