This thread is not to start a personal choice debate or anything like that in personal choice of disposal of your horse (s).
Having my beloved Diamond cremated recently a few things did not sit right.
After 2 weeks of no phone call, I was concerned when I checked my bank statement and no cheque had come out.
OH you need to speak to ****** call back and I wont answer phone he will answer.
Why *** could not pass the phone to him is beyond me.
So livery called back and *** answered phone eventually
MY friend is too upset to call so I am on her behalf, she wants to know when Diamond is coming home as she want's her home for christmas
Answer. When did we do it?
She is not an IT she has a name
Oh sorry
You have had her two weeks and she has heard nothing
not too sure of this part but next I remember
We will drop IT off wed or thursday
Its not an IT she has a name !!

Fact:
T
Phoned up a few more companies to use in the future, one of which suggested phoning up a guy called (name withheld).
He is the Director of pet cemetery and cremation in the country (I always do the best and seek out the best for my animals)
The Cremation company should:
When they return the ashes:
Owner should get a certificate of authenticity saying they have returned the ashes of the horse ( horses name) to owner (owners name)
This was not done in my instance which is why I went to the top.
The company also should have run through everything with me and all clients.
Fact :
The directors
Have had another report about this company
Its being dealt with with trading standards
He is sending me details of everything we discussed about this case and the other.
And what should be done
he also told me of a few companies that were found to coning people.
there is one guy (locally) who he recommends HIGHLY , he has been to the site and seen it first hand.
This other company (I used)has no address where the cremation happens when you google it, just an address in the high street.
So my message to those who have to cremate in the future. Makes sure the company you use is reputable and has the license which checks the machinery and process.
Anyone wanting copies of info etc please pm me.
Paying and individual price you want your ashes back.
Also it is illegal to offer the communal service where they send you back some ashes of your horse.
its heartbreaking to find out this info, so I am hear to share with others so they use and go down the proper chanels

The Cremation company should:
- Run through the whole procedure with you so you are fully aware of what will go on
- Tell you what happens on collection once arrived and prior to cremation and after.
- Ask you what type you want.
- Get you to fill out a form of name address horses name and details of the horse in saying they have go ahead to remove so and so from this address to cremate on behalf of (owners name) This owner should have a copy and Cremation people too should hold their copy on file for two years.,
- Ask you if you want to be there when it happens and sit in the waiting room
