My horse has finished her 7.5kg horse lick in 2 weeks?? She’s only getting it at night when she’s stabled seems ridiculously fast? Could there be a chance she’s eating it ?

What sort of lick? A salt one of one like the sticky horslyx ones? One of mine gets a lick when he needs to be occupied and stay quiet, i only give it when I'm there and then take it out. I wouldn't leave one in the stable overnight, certainly not every day, she's probably just licking it half the night!

given that it says consumption should be around 100g a day and yours has eaten about 5x that I would take it out overnight.

It’s a shamrock horse lick not supposed to be high in sugar https://www.theequinewarehouse.com/item/Shamrock/Horse-Licks/XFR

https://shamrockfarmenterprises.com/horse-block/

They don't list ingredients or quantities. That seaweed is their main selling point is a big no; its high in iron.

They appear to have added selenium (probably in very low quantities but still...) & you don't want to be messing about accidentally over supplementing that.

Their generic statements about various vitamins and minerals are worrying.

Basically wouldn't touch this product with a barge pole.

If you have a specific reason for wanting to use a lick someone might be able to recommend a healthier and safer option.

There are better boredom breakers than links too

I just give a plain horslyx for the ultimate SHUSHHHH bribery, fortunately the horse who gets it has no issues that make a bit of sugar a no-no. at least not for the 40 mins or so that I give it. I wouldn't rely on a lick to supply vits and minerals, it's so much more consistent to supply that through a bucket feed.
