Can't wait!I’ll probably do a show off post when he arrives this weekend ?
People are going to hate me for saying this but horse prices will keep going up. I think the uk are going become like the USA with the horse prices. I live in Ireland and prices are crazy here as wall.
I'd be bloody chuffed if that was the case. It would financially stack up to produce them, literally been my dream job since I was a kid ? no more desk job ?People are going to hate me for saying this but horse prices will keep going up. So obviously we all know prices are through the roof at the minute. I’m hunting for a horse with a (apparently small) 3k budget.
This time 2 years ago I could have got a hoys pony for that, now I’m lucky to get a foal! Do we think they will come down closer to winter? I’m slowly losing hope that I’ll end up with anything I want. I’m not looking for a hoys winner, or anything amazing to look at. But it seems what I’m wanting im looking at doubling my budget which I refuse to do. I just cannot justify spending so much on a horse, I’ve never paid over a grand!
I am guessing you have never bred your own animals ? otherwise you would know just how much they cost to produce. Don't want to sound rude in any way. Just stating a fact. Good luck.

agree, to breed and produce a quality animal is expensive and if i was looking i would expect to pay a decent amount, BUT many of the horses i see advertised now for over £6000 and as high as £9000 have not been carefully bred and educated and did not cost thousands to produce and their conformation is dreadful..i wouldnt like to be looking at the moment..
This is why I bought unseen from Ireland in the end and was prepared to take the risk as just could not find anything remotely suitable to view or the ones I did like were snapped up within hours of being advertised. It worked out well and with the current market looking like it may be here to stay I would probably do the same again.
Finn’s a nicely bred, well started 3 year old RID who was 4K. I have seen similar since for above the 10k mark!
