Has anyone else come across this horse for sale over and over again?? He's been on and off for sale for a good year now.

Only a year, are you sure. :p

I'm not sure why he doesn't take the hint that either no one wants him/that he isn't worth anywhere near 5k/that you cant sell a horse with 6 yo videos!

He was for sale for 12k as a 7 year old from the same owner he's with now when he was still a stallion :')
Looks like they've been trying to shift him for a while!

11yo with only loose jumping pics? And a cross pole too... My 14h2 can jump that from trot. On a dressage page?

Admittedly it's an awful video but there is also a straight pole at the top of the wings behind that cross pole :) Possibly not best jumped from a trot.

Why not? Mine has jumped 1m60 from trot and is only 14h2. Jumped 1m10 from a standstill ;)

Edited - looking at the pic of mine, it's on a slant so prob more like 1m40

Didn't see the straight behind.

I haven't seen all the vids but from the photographs above I really like him. But as I say, it's all I have seen of him. Can't comment on soundness etc. He looks as though he has a good jump in him from the short video of him loose jumping on the facebook page.

I just find it really strange that he's always coming up for sale for a ridiculous price.

As a comment on FB says:

''Yes, Karl may treat his horses like Royalty, but seriously £5k? You need to be realistic in this current climate and I wouldn't give more than £1500 for an 11 year old ex stallion with no competition records, or proven ridden work (I refer to the video of him being ridden by a 'professional' where she is clinging on for dear life.) He dishes and has pigeon toes. I would also like to add that the pictures of him being ridden on Karls FB page, shows a VERY green, unbalanced horse.

Take a look on any of the Horses for Sale sites and you'll see serious competition horses with winnings, breeding, and great temperaments for that price.

You may worship the ground he walks on, but others won't.''

Yes just saw it in Essex riders but think it's in camsrthshire. Video was also on another site last month with serious toe drag in trot

I find that if a horse has been for sale for a long time, theres usually something wrong with it. That or the owner is being far to precious. The rider must be tall though or he isn't 17hh. I'd buy him out of sympathy (i know, i know, thats not the right idea) but not for £5k.

He posts on local fb pages that his "babies" are for sale, due to downsizing, that he won't give a price as the right person will come along, who will not need to ask the price, as the horse will be perfect for them, and not to disrespect the love and passion he has for all his horses ........

Hasn't sold many I don't think

Oh it's him! My first impression was batdoo crazy

I don't know anything about this horse or its advertised history as I don't use facebook but it seems pretty strange to me that someone should join the forum seemingly for the primary purpose of slagging off a particular horse and seller. It makes me question the motives behind the OP to be honest.

Anyone else finding this thread in bad taste? Unless it's a person who regularly rips people off with buted up lame horses, I don't think it's fair to discuss a person on an open forum. I have no idea who this person is, but this just sounds like a bitchfest!

You're not alone. Strange and a bit out of order really. Putting up someone else's picture on a public forum to bitch about them really isn't cool.

I was thinking the same :(

Yes. I opened the thread earlier and couldn't quite believe what I was seeing. All very unnecessary, really.

Well the rider says she is 6 ft tall on there but to be fair I can make 17hh horses look small and I am 5'8. I have really long legs so if I ride with dressage length stirrups where my leg is almost straight the horse begins to look a lot smaller than if I used jumping length stirrups. She is riding with a long leg so it's difficult to tell.

i dont think its in bad taste to make people aware of this.

the only vids of it being ridden are of it years ago, still entire, lame and crooked and the rider looks terrified of him.............i queried if the horses problems had been found and treated when he was last for sale and just got a load of verbal abuse and bull poop.

There is something wrong physically and i doubt he has the easiest temperament either as gelding a tricky older stallion rarely turns them in to saints!

There's loads of overpriced horses for sale for ages nowadays, some people arent that bothered if they sell or not so I guess they figure if they stick a high price on and someone is willing to pay it at some point then they might as well try it. On the other side of the coin I've seen nice 'cheap' horses not selling and nut-job expensive ones going!

I think its in rather bad taste to critisise someone just because they cant sell their horse. After all, there have been many threads on here from people who s horses arent selling, and most people say 'hang in there he'l sell eventually' or 're-advertise him'....... what else can this seller do apart from keep advertising?
