after loosing recently an old friend i have started to look for the next one in a long line of horses, not in a rush but as the last time i bought for myself it was over 17 yrs ago i have been looking to get a reality check of the market..............everything i see which appears in print and in photo ok, is either the top end of Scotland or kent or the isle of white.
also a plea to people considering selling this year can we have a couple of basic side on pics and front and back, not just over the stable door or lying down! also something in the picture for us to relate the height to would be good, this save our time and yours.
i don't tend to have a type, as in it has to be bay, must be a gelding out of this breeding etc etc. But look at each horse as an individual as nothing is perfect, go for personality and conformation together as this is for me a long term partnership.
musing of the horse i am after i know i am looking in the most wanted type..........height range looking at around 16hh, MW mare/gelding age 3+, like breaking but wondering to get an older one and just have more fun and by pass the baby steps!
aspirations, i think it is time to admit the likely hood of pinging round Burghley is in the reality of me on a pair of legs and a bottle of lemonade like last year, but the potential for dressage and xc up to 90/100 as i believe having fun goals to get to are good.
this is early days but one thought i have is going to Ireland as i do have a hankering of an IDx pref with connie, so i thought i would pick your brains. do you have any suggestions of people places to contact, PM if you wish.
sorry for the waffle
