I can't for the life of me remember where I saw the for sale ad, but the details have stuck in my head and puzzled me for the past couple of days. I think the horse was a mare and the ad mentioned that she made a funny noise that sounds like a quack. The horse doesn't do it when ridden and I think the ad said that a vet had investigated the 'problem', but couldn't find anything untoward (not even a quack remedy
).
I've heard of a condition called 'thumps' and wondered if that could be the noise, but I've no knowledge of thumps or how it sounds, so am none the wiser.
No reason for my asking, I'm just curious, but it was such an unusual thing and I wondered if anyone could shed light on it? I did wonder if the quack was just hiccups?
