I’ve been Umming and Ahhing about getting a new lorry for years now. With the aid of a bonus or two, I finally decided to go for it. Freddie Gover is building me a 4.5t on a Citroen relay chassis.

For those interested in seeing it’s progress, here’s a link to some pics (too painful to do them individually). I hope you can see them. I got some helpful tips from some of you on my previous posts, so thank you. It seemed like an age before I could get a build slot etc but it’s taking shape nicely now and will go into the paint shop soon (terrible picture at the end of the proposed paint job!). Not sure I will want to put an actual poo-creating, snot flinging horse in it any time soon though but I’ll have to get over that some time I suppose...!

I think you should give yourself a week just to look at it and caress it before installing a horse :D

Haha, I know right. I really hope he doesn’t take that to mean what it should actually look like!! But I was quite impressed with my skills on the iPad doodling on his lovely picture...

Thx F.C., not quite as complex as your build. I really enjoyed watching its progress. I’ve been a lot less involved in this one! Good to hear re the chassis as I’d not come across the Citroen as an option before.
