Hi, I'm hoping for some recommendations please. I am looking for transport to hire for the day to take my friend and I to a fun ride. :D
Friend is based in Docklands with her horse and I am based in Essex.
My horse will not travel in a trailer with another, so trailer out of the question but he is fine in a lorry.
So was wondering if anyone knows of transport to hire with a driver in the Docklands area as will be asking them to pick my friend up first and get me on the way!
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Ha ha how funny, I hadn't seen your post in CR!!
Do you have a lorry as opposed to a trailer?? What lorry is it if so?
As I understand it in order to do this legally there are all sorts of things the driver has to abide by.... regulations from DEFRA and insurance / breakdown cover etc, as it seems you cannot even take a friends horse if you're accepting money for diesel!!
If you think you will not have all of this in place then don't worry? thanks for replying to our post though!!
 
Well I have a newish 3.5t lorry, I already have insurance and breakdown but need it to cover me for hire and reward which is extra I just havent changed it over yet. The insurance company where telling me that I didnt need to worry about the defra regs because of the weight of the vehicle.
Ooh spoke to defra and I would need a type 1 license if Im travelling the horses 40 miles (1 way) so def should be okay there.

don't mean to be nosey (!!) but do you mind me asking what 3.5t you have??
would like to ask you for a quote, i have no clue how to PM though, im useless with technology!! could you enlighten me at all please???! thanks
