Also, forgive me but if I read about one more case where the mental health of the person/people to whom the poor animals belonged is blamed for the abuse, neglect etc I shall get even more angry….Its not just animal welfare either, it’s literally every case that’s brought to court….

Totally agree, i also know someone who works full time in the equine rehabilitation side, i asked her why they get such a bad rep and why they often seem to not be doing anything. She said in a lot of situations their hands are tied as the abusers are often undesirable types who will threaten and carry out punishment to those involved which often means independent vets are reluctant to get involved and declare the animals abused/neglected, which leaves RSPCA’s hands tied

Have you read a single paper by the authors you quoted? I dont think you can have. It may affect rodents in that way. IT DOES NOT AFFECT HUMANS IN THAT WAY! In women it actually makes them more sensitive to the smell.

Has there been anything more about the Stud? I saw a few comments from people they owed money to and lots and lots and lots expressing thanks that something had finally been done. So clearly a long standing issue :(
 
I've only read about places with similar names making it clear that it's all nothing to do with them. Theres an organic farm called fordhall for example. Sorry about the bold.
 
BBC were filming but I've not seen anything on the local news. Does anyone know how many horses and dogs were removed? Thankfully they are safe now.

Fordhall Organic Farm has been in existence for over 50 years, my sister worked there, they and other Fordhall residents have been trying to get the authorities interested in the situation at this dreadful place for a long time and I hope every media outlet makes it 💯 per cent clear that Fordhall residents have absolutely nothing to do or are linked in any way…..
 
It happens time and again, its just taking on too much, not having any sense to forsee the costs, feed, vet input, hoof care, bedding, the sheer scale of the work involved in looking after large numbers, then comes a bad winter rising costs, mud, rain short dark days the relentless routine the thing collapses big time

Not to mention land management, fencing etc

I once visited a large stables in Cheshire the one responsible for the care of the Arab horses just left, the horses left in stables abandoned
