My pony came from a dealer who, whilst I would not call dodgy, doesn't have the best reputation in the area... He is absolutely perfect in every way
and I love him to bits. However I was working for said dealer at the time, rode the pony regularly and knew all his little quirks
I think with dealers it really is a case of knowing exactly what you are looking for, not being swayed by what you hear and really really looking the horse over and testing him out before buying. There is no "bargain" in the dealing world.
