I'm sure this has been done before but I miss horses of a lifetime (or what ever it was called) in H&H and was wondering what us normal lot favourite ponies have been and why??

I think mine has to be Paddy

He was a really naughty boy but really good when he knew he had to be, which to him was when people were watching him.

mine were the first two i had, no pics on college computer but they were:
a 13.2hh welshie and a 16hh TB ex racer who taught me everything i know and more.

casablanca, the Brazilian warmblood i loaned for 2 years, and would of bought had she not been so out of my price range, and living in brazil

but she was the most amazing horse i have ever ridden, havent found anything since that jumps like her, definatly my horse of a life time (hope hector isnt listening

Unbeatable, irreplaceable, loved more than she'll ever realise. She's given me so much over the past 5 years, I owe her big time. Trying desperately to make up for my mistakes.

Sorry for being ignorant Kt if I've missed a post. What's up with Dolly Mixture? (I just HAVE to call her that now!

)

I guess for me, mine has to be Patches as she's been everything and more to me that I bought her for. I love her to pieces and would be devastated if she were gone.

This man here: Poseur. Got on him as a complete novice, 4 years later - well he taught me so much and probably the biggest thing to learn - never ever give up. He would try your patience and was at times incredibly frustrating but when he went well - he went beautifully well. He is now at a private yard (was on WL at my RS) after they found him to have a heart condition. He's currently enjoying a good hack & the odd dressage test with his owner

This photo was taken the last day I rode him -

And looking in fab condition in his new home:

I took ages mulling this over, and so many horses have taught me SO much... but I think that its got to be...

Boo.

14.1hh rising 16yr old Welshy x NF. Had her for almost 4 years now, and although we've had SO many problems, both in the saddle and out of it, in Summer 05 everything clicked and for a while, it was perfect. Until she went lame etc again... but after so much work and nearly losing her so many times, she's taught me more than I could have hoped to learn in a lifetime. A truly amazing, quirky pony who deserves so much more than the many problems she's having at the moment.

Summer 2005 - probably the best 4 minutes of my life :P

All though he can be a right old git at times. a few weeks ago we very very close to losing him, but he's turn a small corner and is getting stronger. he 28yrs old in june!!!! I've had him since he was 15yrs old. my god did he show me alot in the short time we had as horse and rider, he's just 14.2hh and used to jump 4"6 foot and didn't think twice about it. he give me that speed and height bug I'll jump anything these days!!!
Just as we were about to take on the world willie had 3 fits in the middle of a road and that was that, it was conformed he had equine Epilepsy a few weeks later. I did ride him for the first year bare back in a headcoller we did everything we use to do just not hacking out
frown.gif
i used to jump him like that the same as before the Epilepsy
grin.gif

we had to stop as his fits were geting worse that was 5 yrs ago.
Think I'll stop there or i'll be here all night

Has to be Sprite...that horse kept me sane, and she was only in my life for the whole of her 3 years..I wish I could see how she is now.

I know i keep banging on about her but Rema is my horse of a lifetime. We went went through thick and thin together.nd she can still manage to tug my heart strings 6 years (on tuesday just gone) after losing her.At times i could of bloody strangled her myself but she always crept back into my good books. This photo is of Rema aged 26.

and my 25 yo 11.2 Pip who was a cast off of Rob Whitacker, he didn't like him but i did!! He was a better hunter than 99% of the horses and managed to jump on top of walls and not knock them down! amazing skill!! no pics but he has a legendary status within the Rockwood Harriers! DUDE!
