one of my yougsters pricked his eye when he was a foal and has regular check ups with a specialist opthalmologist every year as althought the initial injury settled down well with alot of intense nursing (I had a month off work!) a cataract has been slowly developing and today he is judged just to be able to see light and dark with this eye. (the ultra sound technique for removing it has been discussed but is unsuitable due to the adhesions in the eye from the initial trauma)
He has recently been backed and riding him i have noticed no difference at all in his way ofg going to any other horse I have ridden, he also enjoys jumping although I havnt done much dure to his age (4). Just wondered if anyone else had ridden a horse with one good eye?
