don't know why they are so pricey but they turn up second hand fairly often, would that be an option OP? I think all mine have come from FB marketplace.

if so, what size do you need?

I find that the liners from other companies fit Rambo rugs but they all seem to be catching on to their popularity and the prices all seem to be in the same ball park now.

I have an old Duo that I bought my chestnut mare in about 2006. It has lasted well although the outer has had a chest clip replaced and one of the surcingles mended. The liners are still good too (300g and 100g). She does have other rugs so it hasn't been in constant use every winter. I use the liners with other rugs too (both Horseware and other makes).

This is where I am going wrong I think. I'm not on FB (I do look at ebay) but I would be happy with a good condition 2nd hand one.

I'd like a 200g in 6ft3 for my chestnut mare, but one in 6ft0 could be useful too as that would fit the arabs.

I have two (I think) 6'3 liners I am going to sell as too small for my current horse. I am away at the mo. Back 2/3 Jan I can message you then with photos.

Swish do liners quite a bit cheaper and they fit the Horseware rugs.

Just buy a liner and put under the Kramer rug if you like it. They just need to be clipped to the back rings on the rug where the leg straps go.
They can also be attached at the wither by velcro but I never bother with those and they stay in place fine.

I've got some normal/ non shoulder gusseted liners and one optimo liner with the gusset and find the ones without much better as the optimo always slips back with the gusset essentially open.

I am afraid I don’t understand the ‘ new’ idea of liners. I have been putting a thin quilt with or without crossover straps under a turnout to add warmth for years. Just put a loop round both front fastenings to keep them together and clip the fillet string to both rugs. Works fine.

Yes and yes :) I have the turnout and like that it covers more than other rugs especially for the middle of winter or wet weather.

I just bought a 50g derby house liner £32 free delivery really pleased with it and it fits under my shires and weatherbeeta rugs, I have swish and shires liners and they fit under all my rugs.
I did this too. It’s a great liner, the only problem I had was that the back clips are in the wrong place for Horseware rugs.
I think they will still work out cheaper if I get someone to just move them down a bit.

I have a Duo for my Highland that I bought last Winter and I'm liking the liners. They're easy to put on/remove and I find the rug sits nicely on her.
A friend has her 2 Arabs in Optimos and same thing.

I think Premier Equine liners are also compatible with some Horseware rugs.

eBay and Facebook Marketplace are definitely a good shout if you're happy with a second-hand liner :).

I pick up most of my liners (PE / Horseware) second hand in summer.

I don’t find thin quilt type rugs the same.

The liners I use are non stick, breathable, antibacterial, polish coat, non rub, very light, no seams or pressure points, attach perfectly to rugs, don’t move, easy to wash, super fast to dry.

OK. I was just saying what I do. I have been using a variety of under rugs for over 40 years and see no need to purchase any more. I have used wool, cotton and synthetics. I have always been able to alter and wash these rugs easily and have not experienced any problems. Those who are more recent to horse ownership will probably do the same as you.

I have kramer and an optimo. You can use liners under the kramer rugs. You can use liners under any rug. So long as you fasten the front and clip the back clips on they dont move.
