I had a good sort of of all my horsey bits and bats I don't use/never needed and took them to a horsey car boot sale that was running locally.
Everything I had was washed, clean and IMHO fairly priced, bearing in mind I knew buyers would want to haggle so was being realistic about price.
Well......HARDLY SOLD A THING!! Primarily because I wasn't going to sell clean, undamaged Nuumed numnahs for £1 each nor was I going to sell an Albion saddle in excellent condition for £100!! The woman commented that the price I wanted "wasn't trading money". No love, it wasn't trading money, it was a fair price as I would rather keep it forever than give it away!
So after lots of interest in rugs (washed, re proofed and bagged), none were sold as apparently none were worth over £10 (Rambo and Weatherbeeta must be rubbish makes of rugs
)
So all in all, after paying for my stall, buying chocolate for my helper and a bottle to drink while I ranted at my OH when I got home, I made £10.
Don't think I'll bother doing another!!
