There's two things for me that really stand out!

1. First schooling session on my 17 year old TB in months and he felt amazing, he had last summer off due to being diagnosed with Navicular and Arthritis and has had an easy time since. Yesterday I really put him through his paces and he was sooooo much free-er and more consistent in his outline, giraffe he is no more! :D :D (video in PG if anyone wants a nosey but here's a couple of rubbish stills just because I can)

2. The horse I took in nearly 4 months ago called to me today for the first time, not a big thing but it really made my day! I was begining to get a complex :p :D

So what have your horses done to make you smile this week? Piccys welcome :D :D

I've not got any pictures, but riding my youngster today, he's such a quick learner and is so keen to please. He just puts a big smile on my face :)

Been for a 15 mile pleasure ride today. Turned my horse out for a few hours when we got home. When i went back to the yard to get him in he did the most enormous whinny, which just made me beam!

A couple of other lovely liveries on my yard went to Thetford today, and were kind enough to take myself and Madam along. I don't have transport so rarely get out and about further than we can hack, so it was really nice to go somewhere different :D

More of a lurker than a poster but ebonyallen and nah's happy threads have made me smile this week. Far more joyful than the week I've had.

Ooh! Ooh! Just the ONE thing for me this week... but it's a biggie... :D

Got to the yard at 6am on Monday morning to find my mare had produced this gorgeous specimen five days early....

Not really horsey but getting a phone call from my sister to say my niece has been moved out of intensive care and is coming home on tuesday! she is a week and a half old and doing so well.
Horsey wise my boy felt the best he has ever felt this morning schooling x

Look at the back legs on that foal! It's gonna be a jumper! Absolutely gorgeous! Name?!

My Puzzle has made me smile, as always. I won't post photos again because they're on my thread and I don't wanna clog up the board, but she is spectacular! xx

Seeing my neighbour walking around her yard. Shes been in hospital for 11 weeks most of which was flat on her back. Surgeon has promised her that they will get her back on her horse.

Go Janie !

Taking my horse on her own on a hack she's never been on without any major napping/spooking/titting about! Given that this is a horse that WONT go off the yard alone this is a major step, I was like this :D :D :D :D :D when I got back!

ohhh you've just made my daughters week with those pics lol, she's been telling me for the last few years that her first horse (rather than pony) will be a spotty botty as we call them:D

for me the biggest smile has to be today, i rode the TB and even jumped him, no biggie for most but i don't 'do' jumping:eek: he is so keen and honest that i trust him not to dump me or send me over the jump by myself:o

Too many babies , I want one ( equine, not human ) both gorgeous, but having a gelding I don't see a baby anytime soon :D

Biggest smile was today seeing daughter ( 6) riding her pony at pony club on her own, trotting , canter, trotting poles and jumping, and laughing for the whole hour :)

Hacking with daughter down a road with major roadworks today. Barriers & signs everywhere, flapping sand bags etc & her rising 5 pony marched straight through like a pro. Then going for a good gallop with her & jumping puddles. Really proud of daughter, she's not 8 till Nov & although I've helped she's the only one who's ever ridden her pony.

Nothing special. I got to the yard this morning. All the Horses looked over their doors, realised it wasn't there "person" and dissapeared. All apart from mine. Who just stood and watched me :)

Really really enjoying hacking out on my very very green baby horse who was brilliant fun and acted like he was 15 and not just 5. Coupled with the fact that youngest staffie came out for her first big girls hack, left alone the random unsuspecting walkers and stuck with us...long time since I could just enjoy a hack!

Mine was riding my new horse, who is a green 6yr old arab, through the local highstreet! Although it's not so busy on a sunday, it's still hectic and she was a star, didn't flinch and seemed to actually enjoy it!! She went in front of the more experienced pony and seemed to like the attention she was getting from passers by, even the children waving balloons :-)
