You did well to bite your tongue, I would have said what I thought. As for everyone else ignore them. Why would you offer someone a lift just so they could wreck your box.

Tell the ungrateful cow where to go.

I ONLY offer to give folk lifts if they understand if their gg damages anything they WILL get a repair bill, if they don't agree to this and it fits into my day I WILL NOT TAKE THEM!

I think weezy has the best reason for not giving lifts...........

As for yard politics arrhhhhhhhhhh................ do you want a pair of ear plugs and stab proof vest!!!
Chin up next week it will be somebody else turn to be villian of the yard...........
 
God how awful you poor thing. I used to go out with a friend in her lorry and I would always drive, park up the lorry afterwards, clean it out and give a tenner for each journey we did for petrol, wear and tear etc. Plus always expressed how grateful I was as couldn't possibly afford a lorry of my own (plus my horse is a great loader). I really feel for you being the gossip of the yard, what is it about yards? Is it because it's mostly women or am I over simplyfing things? Hope a few people at least come to see your side of things.
 
I often take people out to shows that I am going to. One is a kid with a sh*t of pony to load, but the people are really nice and I don't mind helping people who are truly grateful and the other is a girl who works on the livery yard my mum is at and she 'goes the extra mile' looking after mum's horse, so again se is welcome. I have in the past told those who are not welcome that I will take them because they dont load or kick the box etc.
Its your sacrifices that pay for your lorry, so tell them to save up or get hacking!
