Maesfen
Extremely Old Nag!
After I lost Wish, my lovely lurcher in the summer I said I wouldn't have another dog for myself; after all, we do have five here already and they're fantastic, a tightly knit mini community and it seemed a shame to upset the mix. I was adamant that I didn't want a puppy.
David and Alexa, our vet friends have been sending me pics or telling me of ones they've had into their surgeries with little effect until A sent me these pics on Monday.
I just knew she was the one!
Turns out that she and her sister were found in a cardboard box in Shrewsbury, taken to the police and handed on to the dog warden. The sister which was black and white was fine condition wise but they were worried about this one as she was so thin so she was taken to A's surgery to be checked over. Badly dehydrated, pitifully thin, she was given some food and drink and left in overnight where A saw her the next morning and immediately thought of me! No health problems they can find but too poor to be wormed, jabbed or chipped yet she is as friendly and lively as a cricket, goes around like a blue arse fly! There's definitely whippet in there but not sure what else and I think she'll be broken coated too and she hasn't even started to change her teeth yet so we think she's only around ten weeks. How someone can dump puppies like that I have no idea, it's just such a good job they were found and taken in. :bh:

The nurses had called her Biscuit which I wanted to change to Tango as in she's orange and Alexa had finally 'got' me but she isn't a Tango at all so she is now and finally Ice on account of the season and she's so sharp. So please meet Ice. She has some big boots to fill but she seems a huge personality already and has slotted into the old gang as if she's always been here. Will get a video up of her being a dervish soon.
