No real advice over selling but if it makes you feel any better when we put our Welsh D out on 'permanent' loan to the most perfect 5* home ever, less than 5 miles away, with friends, my daughter and I still bawled out eyes out when we delivered her. We can go and visit any time but my daughter still comes away in tears even though she has another horse (she had outgrown the Welsh). Tears are a natural part of saying goodbye even when you find the right home. Good luck with your search for the perfect home for her, the right one will come along when you least expect it. (and yes we had the timewasters and the numpties)
