Evenin' all :D

Well what a day I have had! EXCELLENT little ride in the school this avo :) Got a new saddle today - very very happy. Its really comfortable and I feel very secure. The Saddler said its about 1cm away from his last rib so if it slips back it could cause problems. Its the right fit though but she is extremely safe and cautious (rightly so!:))

At the moment, he has a pony saddle cloth. He also has a breast plate with attachments to the D Rings which should also help.

What can I use to ensure it stays where it is?

sounds like you are doing everything you need to just try and keep your numnahs as thin as possible as that can cause saddles to become slightly too narrow which will make the shoulders push it back but other than that you should be fine :)

Sounds like you're both a bit happier now. As has been said use a thin numnah and you should be fine - you seem to be being careful so i'm sure if it does start to slip you'll be able to try sort it out before it causes any problems.
Any more photos of him? ;):D He's a lovely little man :)

Thanks for the advice :)

I must say I wasn't particularly impressed with him last night and today  He wouldn't let me catch him the git! He has clung onto a mare in the field and won't let the others near her, including me  My wonderful YO has sorted the problem by sectioning off a paddock just for my boy so we are all hunky dorey again :D

Pics? well.....if you insist!

My lovely little friend riding Pony today in his new saddle. She fell in love with him and wouldn't get off! She kept his headcollar on just incase ;)
