Just passing through...
Decided to get Dizz a Sprenger bit (thanks to the help from y'all on that bit - lol, 'scuse the pun).
Anyhoo, the question is: how do I know which to go for? I've looked at the Sprenger site, but I am sadly non-the wiser. This could be because I am indeed a complete numpt

She's in the broad barrelled Myler at the moment (I forget the model, but it's one for young horses). She resists the bit when first touched on the mouth after the rider mounts (head goes up quite sharp), and she's not always so steady in the head carriage when asked to downward transition (this can include throwing her head up). She will get the bit and lean on it. She seems to dislike the bit itself, but is no good in anything that puts pressue on her nose(!!!). The other day we had a sustained trot with lovely and soft self carriage - I still grin when I think of it
.
Brakes on the whole aren't a problem, though we have yet to do anything 'exciting' so that may change lol, obviously we need to work with what she is like now.
Dentist says her mouth is fine. No fitting problems that she can see. Toung and lips are not excessively fleshy.
