It takes me about 20 mins to get to my yard. I went to look at one about 5 mins from my house today but although its cheaper and I would spend less on petrol they yard facilities aren't as good and Im not too sure about the hacking. I got to my yard tonight, walked into my stable and thought thank god its not made out of old doors and floor planks with holes in! If your at a yard where your happy as long as its not a ridiculously long way away then I would move
My horses are in a rented field at home at the moment, but i move my thoroughbred to a livery yard in the autumn which is a 10 min drive, it would take a while to walk though.
About 12 miles, approx 10 minute drive. There are places closer but the quality is not there. Also the hacking from our yard is fantastic. But we are on part livery could not do it on ?DIY.
About 7 miles away I think, 13 mins in the car... pretty sure you'd have trouble cycling as its mainly uphill, and I really think it would take over an hour....
Just under a mile. Just under 2 minutes in the car. 15 minutes slow stroll. 5 minutes on the bike.
BUT, I started at one 11 miles/20 minutes car away and at that time we went twice a day. We moved to one 4-5 miles/10-15 minutes car away. We then moved to one 5-6 miles/15 minutes car away. We then moved back to the 11 miles/20 minutes car away but the YO did them once a day weekdays only for us. Then we moved to current yard which is rented but is all to ourselves. And we love it!
