My boy has recently 'dropped off' weight wise, it seemed to conincide with bad weather. FOr the past 2 weeks i have been feeding him Baileys Number 4 Topline conditioning cubes. He is currently having 1 scoop per day and 3 scoops of hi fi original (split into 2 feeds). As well as half a dozen carrots.

When i ride (3-4times per weeks) he has a 'lunch' feed also, which literally consists of a handfull of cubes and hi fi.

He is also having a large section of hay morning and night. He is a 16hh 1/2 chunky irish draught.

How long should it take for me to notice a difference weight wise? Is this enough?

Ps the above was all suggested to me by the back lady as he needs to improve his topline also, he is currently doing excercises to obviously help with this.

I personally would feed two scoops of feed a day and add some oil to his diet. It shouldn't take long to see a small improvement.

The best way to visually record weight gain in your mind is to take photos in exactly the same place with exactly the same lighting. I find weight gain is slightly noticable within one week and definitely noticable at 2 weeks. Oil, as suggested above, is a good way to add weight. 1 cup contains approx. 2000 calories.

I should of said he's having soya oil also, about a shot glass full in each feed. SHould i increase this? Will this make him go loopy?

I would agree with 2 scoops of cubes, my 13.2 is on 11/2 scoops a day to get some weight on him, he had 2 scoops during the cold snap.
Is he eating all the hay you give him as I would not be restricting it at all if trying to get weight on.
