ETS:Lol, I forgot to add the poll!!

current one about 2 months (want to stay longer though!) one before was one i went to as soon as buying the horse as needed stabling and was there for just 2 months as needed a better school. Before that err about 6 months (yard shut over summer was a uni yard) 3 yrs and before that, well however many years i have had horses for before then at my first yard!

All the moving is because i have had 4 horses in the past 4 years (one broken leg, one a nutcase so sold, one perfect cob but too small and my current one) and as on livery all the yards filled up when my horses left! Then last year i took a horse up to uni with me, and have moved 3 times with 2 different horses since then!! So mixed times

4 months so far at the current yard. The previous yard we were at was one year exactly, and the one before that about 18 months. Doesnt make for the best record, does it!? But we have had perfectly legitimate reasons for leaving each yard, and have always parted on good terms. Hope we'll stay where we are now until we are able to buy some land of our own...!

6 months on my current yard.

The yard before that, 3 months, before that, one year, before that, four weeks!! Have had some BAD experiences with yards!

One week!!! Before that 5 months (yard closed), before that 10 months, before that about 2.5 years. Good reasons for moving but really want to settle now - new place seems lovely and Taffy has settled really quickly. Too quickly in fact - he's already conning the YO out of handfuls of haylage (he has hay) by doing his starving pony impersonation over the stable door :-)

OMG I've been at my yard for 14 years, on and off (only left to go to uni for 2 years!) I was the first livery.

Talk about becoming part of the furniture

Been at the yard at home for 10 years on and off (due to uni) and been at 3 different yards whilst at uni. One for 2 weeks as YO was just unbearable, one for 5 terms as I lived on site and it was cheap, and just started my second term on yard number 3 which has fantastic facilities and the owners are lovely. Sadly I'm in my last year so left it rather late to find the perfect yard.

Blimey so many long termers.
I just want to settle now, and I hope and beleive this new yard is the place. I am really looking forward to the move, hopefully with the rent being half price and the only real difference is no school which I do not tend to use anyway will be great.

I hope that if I move again its because we are moving to another part of the country or we are buying a place with land.

I have been at my yard now (with a break in between) for 18months. Its a really nice yard and I am not leaving because of the yard at all. Just need to save money and the bonus will be getting away from someone who is and has been using me it seems for the last 2&1/2yrs and tainting alot of things for me. Anyway. Its amazing how long some have been at their yards. Here is to happy times at our yards and longevity if you want it

2 year at current yard - before that was 16 years at old yard - only moved due to new liveries (bunch of unruly teenagers) that moved in made it hell and YO done nothing to help so onwards and upwards, now realise it was the best thing to happen to me.
