How many of us have horsey OH's?

Do you feed all the horses on the yard at the same time?

My OH avoids horses wherever possible.
Considers them to be nasty, dangerous, unpredictable and expensive items

However, he appreciates my passion and is proud when I do well.
I just have to watch I don't relate any scary falling off stories...

I think it is handy have a horsey OH, as your able to chat about the horses, whereas with my parents, as soon as I mention the word "horse" they immediately ignore me and eventually moan because thats all I talk about.

What he said ^^

My parents have been listening me going on about horses for 16 years and they just don't get it and I think they're a bit bored of it tbh. Whenever I mention horses in front of Mum she just switches off.

I love having an OH that is interested in horses because you can talk about what you've done with them/how you're getting on and in my case how I got over a jump that I couldn't manage last week etc.

Mine is far horsier than me and rides every single day.
He's always competed doing up to Foxhunter SJ and some BD and BE, and is a dab hand at Hunter Trial Pairs classes winning no less than 10 one year with CCJ!
He is very similar to Mark Todd in build and horses just like him and always go well for him. Sadly he had to earn a living or he could have been very good professionally.
There are times when I get fed up, such as listening to long stories about how wonderful his latest mare is , but the good side is he doesn't mind mucking out, stallion handling, and foaling, and is very useful to have around...
(I used to teach him years ago but when he got better than me and started argueing I told him to sod off....
