How many of you use flea preps?

I have a 16 yr old and a 13 yr old and don't deflea mine from one year to the next and neither have fleas! Our old collie never had flea preps either.

Now bearing in mind I am a veterinary nurse and probably bring them home with me, they simply don't have any!

Have used frontline as puppies, thats about it!


Sooo anyone else as lucky as me??

Had mine since Feb no fleas yet (have three dogs) Dylan had advocate as a pup. I do drontal though. As they eat rabbit etc

ohhh yes mine are wormed every 3-6 mths xx

I don't. Cat brought in fleas once but dogs have never had them, touch wood.

Have very very occasionally used it for the hell of it if i got a freebie from the reps.. but shows its not neccesarry to be doing it all the time doesnt it!

Snap, I also take my dog into work when im on emergency shifts, and mine maybe get flead once a year but never actually have them, but I board dogs so make sure i do them atleast once a year.

Not sure if you mean me, I dont think u do, but yeah I have cats too, I neva see fleas on them, mind u 2 are indoors the other 2 out but they never go no where

I try to do mine every 6 months, realistically its more like every 8-10months! I don't see any on them but have found the occasional one, maybe one a year which I catch, kill and then I will treat them if not recently been done! Milo came back with fleas after his long stay in the vets at the end of last year, I didnt deflea at the time as didnt want him exposed to flea stuff when he was so fragile, they must have died cos I never saw another and none of the other dogs got them and they still havnt been done! Mine do catch small furries and rabbits but still dont seem to get them. I usually try and do this time of year as fleas are about more and will do the ferrets at the same time as they pick them up from the rats that try and get into their run!

I never use it. Yuk no thanks.

We do use garlic and brewers yeast for flea's and ticks though.

Don't de flea my 3 either, they don't get them.
