Zoomy has tiny skinny legs but I never boot her unless doing xc. On the other hand, Monty constantly steps on his own legs even though he is just a light-hack so I always boot him.
Mazzie always had overreach boots and brushing boots in front as she was a skinnyminny! Genie (Welsh D) only has overreach boots, and only ever has any other boots on if we are going XC.

Yes. He has boots on for hacking/schooling/jumping. He has Tendon boots, fetlock or brushing boots and knee boots if doing road work on hills!

I do exactly the same i have more boots that Derby House.
I put wraps on front legs for hacking but more for the tendon support than protection against knocks, If my horses were stupid enough to trip over there own feet then i wouldn't want to ride them but then i've only got smooth roads, might be different if we had bridleways and tracks to ride on like some lucky people
The Dizzy one has Tri-Zone Cross Country boots on all round when out hacking - when she's having a numpt moment her legs are all over the place and we need all the protection we can get!
Charlie wears brushing boots for hacking along with over reach boots. He always stands on himself so it is just to offer some protection! He has training wraps for schooling and tendon/fetlock boots for jumping.
Ron has brushing boots on all round and over-reach boots on too for everything including hacking. He's such a muppet he's always kicking himself and causing scrapes and bangs with his own feet. I wouldn't dream of hacking out without them, on any horse, mainly due to the risk of injury by other objects.
over reach always. nowt else on the welsh as boots tend to make him sweat and get skin issues, he is fully booted only if jumping. Intersting to note the only time I took him hunting last year he trashed his over reach!
The palo, over reach and knee boots, she is rubbish at picking her feer up and although never been down would hate her to and have seen the consequences.
my boy can't wear boots of any describtion so no for him but my mare wears woofwear brushing boots allround and 3 over reach boots. due to he catching herself

I use brushing boots on front and back legs for hacking, don't really understand why anyone wouldn't want their horse to have extra protection.

I use to agree that you should always have extra protection, however Zoomy has VERY sensitive skin and even the best fitting boots rub her. She doesn't brush or over reach and more often than not, especially when it's muddy or we are on sandy tracks she gets terrible sores on her legs from boots so in her case it is better to leave her legs naked.
Yes, always. Standard brushing boots and over reach boots for hacking. If he has a moment he is liable to stand on himself. Schooling boots with some fetlock support for flatwork. I dont have the best arena in the world to use but grateful for what we have and I have tendon and fetlock boots for jumping and also posh boots for competitions.
Mine has brushing boots all round for everything. Although he's a Sec D, our hacking can be really boggy and rutty and he does have a tendancy to bang himself every now and again - and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
anything unshod, such as baby horses or oldies, no boots.
anything in work, e.g. eventers, always have really good front boots on (with proper tendon guards), hind boots only if they move very close behind.
iirc Welton Romance missed a very big champs (i can't remember if it was WEG or Olympics) because she spooked at a pheasant out hacking and struck into herself...
