How many saddles does your horse have???

6

2 x Dressage
1 x Showing
1 x Leather GP
1 x Synthetic GP
1 x Jumping

To be fair one of the dressage was for everyday and one for show, but now I use the "show" one all the time, and the 'everyday' one only used occasionally if teaching someone on my horse. Synthetic GP for hacking, normal GP for jumping at home/cross country/hunting. Jumping saddle now redundant as never do the heights to require one, although too sentimental to part with it!

Cadbury had three (which I still have and should really use...) - one dressage, one lightweight Albion XC saddle, and one GP

Roy has two

Everything else has just one GP!

Old horse has one synthetic GP. Young native has a synthetic GP (for hacking but I never use it) and suede seated WHP saddle.

It depends what you want to do... if you're just going to hack and do the odd little unaff. show then I'd go for a GP.

Cabs had three because he was my eventing superstar, and was competing regularly throughout the summer, and hunting once a week in winter. Roy has two - a jumping saddle and a dressage saddle, because he competes regularly in both disiplines and hunts in the winter, so I just hack him out in his jumping saddle! But am thinking of having Cadbury's GP fitted to him so that the super posh jumping saddle stops getting wet/scratched/covered in port out hunting!

The others have one GP each because they just hack about and do the odd show, and go hunting occasionally, so don't need anything more!

1 x dressage & 1 x jumping
Wouldn't go back to a GP even for lower level stuff, would always have a dressage & a jumping saddle, as I think it's the most versatile combination :)

About 5 that I was gifted when I first got him, people assumed all big saddles would fit him! We have (that fit!) one western pleasure saddle, one western show saddle, one English GP saddle I use for trails, one GP saddle I use for combined training (If I want to school dressage and then jump afterwards), one dressage, two jumping.

I've just counted 12 saddles!!! Might be time to sell some!

I've got 2, both GPs, one synthetic and one leather.

Only use the leather one, but can't bear to part with my trusty old Wintec!

The TB has 2- a Thorowgood GP and an Albion Dressage.
Old man has an Albion Working Hunter type- originally it was specially made for someone and it's lovely- Suede seat and knees and a Serge panel.
