£27 for new fronts and trim on the back. £24 for re-fits!! think its £54 for set of 4 but i only get the fronts done so not 100% sure if this is true!!it may be a little less!!!is a bit cheaper again for the re-fits!! the farrier hot shoes them for the same price as cold. £15 for just a trim all round!!! think your friend was ripped off!!!!
£75.00 per set including road nails - but these are heavy horses and have special wide shoes. £15.00 per trim. £100 for imprint heartbars on laminitic pony's front feet (gulp)
two differant farriers do our two,
for my horse, its 57 a time for new natural balance shoes.
for bf's horse its 50 a time for a new complete set with road nails.

*splutters and passes out, picks self up off floor and screeches* HOW MUCH???? Jeezzzzzzzzzz I'm in Newmarket and use Newmarket farriers and I pay £22 for trims - so £66 for my 3. That would be £120 every 6 weeks for mine - just for trims!!
My farrier charges £60 for a full set, a couple of pounds less for re-fits (seldom possible!) and £20 for a trim. If any of my horses lose a shoe within the first week, he'll fit another free of charge. I would also add that my farrier spends about one and a half hours fitting a full set and his work is faultless - he prides himself in being a perfectionist and my vet (plus many other horsey folk) comment of how well shod my horses are. He's also very reliable, ringing me if he's running late. I've used him for about ten years now and he's great. What worries me is that he has a VERY bad back (it worries him too - surgery has been recommended!) and I don't think another farrier would ever match up to him! Several local farriers charge the same but can slap a set of shoes on in less than half and hour!

£50 for a full set, £45 for refits
Was getting them for £45 full set but farrier was creepy so changed, the extra £5 is worth not getting perved at, lol
I pay £65 for a trim and hot reshoe ( all 4) for my clydie cross. The cob used to be £60 for the same. Now have the latter just trimmed which costs £20 a time.
