For a 3yo unbroken gelding, breeding unknown but guessing tb x. Had an eye removed but doesn't bother him. I think he's over priced so interested to know what you'd all pay.

probably £200 but thats because i bought a 3 year old unbroken but had started lunging tb x that passed vetting and came with rugs and bridle and was well handled for £350 so i wouldnt pay more for a horse with one eye... even if it didnt bother them

im a scrouge though :o and got £250 off that horses original price :)

How did he lose the eye ? if it was uveitis I would not take him even with a large cash payment.

Just found out it was uveitis but eye is completely removed. Will this be a huge problem?
Think i'm going to have to walk away. He's gorgeous and seems ideal but way too overpriced :(

I'm sorry to hear that he's had uveitis, I'd just walk away as its a huge risk that his ther eye could develop the same problems, plus he'd be uninsurable for eye problems too. :(

Because if they have had uveitis in one eye its got a high chance of occurring in the other I lost a horse ( well I had him PTS as the treatment was distressing and he was becoming vicious he could not come out of his darkened stable and was beyond unhappy ) its very very sad but please please find another horse poor boy.
No amount of cash given to me would ever induce me to chance going though that again.

Personally I wouldn't take him on if he was free.

There's a risk it could turn up in the other eye, which wouldn't be covered by insurance, this coud be costly, and could also lead to a lot of heartache.
