How often do you...

What factors do you find most prohibitive when it comes to breeding?

Clean the inside of your car?

I am awful when it comes to cleaning the car and do it maybe once or twice a year! I never have the time or even seem to make the time, but I did finally today as it was disgusting what with half the yard in it!

So how often do you clean yours?

I hoovered mine today

I tend to only do it if I am planning a weekend away (and I'm using the car to get there) or if I am taking a friend or family member in it

Going out with a friend this week hence the hoover today

Not as often as my wonderful-but-slightly-tidy-freak-mother would like! She always moans about it! Twice a year is probably the most honest option

Sounds like a marvelous way to get the car clean, sadly no way my OH would clean it, being as I make al the mess having the ned!

Never! I do often look at it and think it needs doing but always something better to spend my time on so it will probably never get done.

Lol, yes, its about my lowest priority, but today I cracked after 7months of not cleaning it! It was starting to smell bad so I had to, I use it to take me and OH to work each day!

The insides of the doors get cleared every now and then as i seem to put crisp packets, choc wrappers etc in them. It gets hoovered and cleaned more in the summer as its not nice doing it out in the cold

Yes, the weather has to be pretty good for me to be encouraged to do it, perfectly sensible

last time I gave it to my Dad to clean. He came inside and Mum asked him if he wanted the hoover, he said "No, actually a brush and fork, and then I can bed down a pony in it!"

When I got my first car I was totally obsessed with her and would clean her (and wash her) once a week, with a number of different products (special cleaners for the windows, polishers for certain parts of the interiors, and so forth).

Now I am much lazier with the Mini and will only clean the interior when really, really dirty

I have never been that great. I have never had a posh/nice car though, so perhaps I would be different with a really nice car, but both my two cars to date are work horses and are functional over anything else

I have to pay £40 every month to have a full valet done - the car is paid for by OH - and he pays for everything but I have to keep it clean !!! and last week he needed to use it and it smelt of wet horses and horse wee..... I got told off !

Umm never? The only time it gets cleaned (inside or out) is when it goes to the garage for servicing!! Life is far too short to worry that my car is a tip :-)

[/ QUOTE ]

So true, this is why mine hardly gets cleaned, more important things in life to be doing

PMSL. My OH moans about the car being grubby but it is my car, he has a motorbike but I take him to work everyday so he moans then. I tell him I will clean it one day, and today was that day!

every few months
but i do change shoes before getting in and it has mats down and covers on seats.....

[/ QUOTE ]

That's good practice, I just wash my wellies a bit and get in

and it shows

I really should get seat covers though, may organise some at some point

not often enough, it stinks and is an embaressment when my non horsey work colleagues have to get in for lifts. I clean it now and then but mostly just chuck all the stuff from in the car into the boot, like boots, hats, flasks, jumpers, gloves etc and then have no space for anything else so now have saddles and coats on back seats, and have to rely on getting shopping delivered from Tesco as there is no way i have space in ot for a full shop! Drives my hubby mental but nevermind!

I put twice a year, which is probably about right....

Its actually going to get done tomorrow though as I'm off work. It has loads of hay swinging from the ceiling
blush.gif
and I also need to do something about the back of it which is sopping wet from carting water down to the yard the other week.

Its really starting to smell.
