Mine is usually done every 7 weeks but this summer she's only going 5 weeks. Anyone else finding this happening?

Our 4 are all retired/semi retired and so we manage 7/8 weeks with them.
However my sister's boy and Bill and Pally go 6 weeks.

the same, mine is usually 7-8 weeks but recently i am lucky for him to go 5 weeks.

Ben goes 6 weeks as hes so big dont want the strain on his legs etc if his feet get long which they tend to do after 6 weeks. My other pony used to go 8 weeks.

I aim for every 6 weeks, but it depends when my invisible farrier ( I have used him for 2 years and never met him) can fit us in.

6 weeks for me, lots of road work

His feet don't grow much so would like to go longer but his shoes are trashed by 6 weeks!

Every 4-5 weeks, 4 weeks when eventing and 5 weeks when not doing as much. The feet seem to grow so quickly and go out of balance if not careful.

Agree with Memo, mine goes 4-5. Farrier has always said they should be done every 5 weeks in normal circumstances if in decent workload

Mine are all barefoot so they are only trimmed. They are all done every 6 weeks in the winter and every 5 weeks in the summer.

usually every 7 weeks. But horse keeps losing a shoe so hes been up more often than that.

Hes advised to got to 6 weeks to keep ontop of his dodgey foot as its hard to keep a shoe on it, so if its trimmed more regularly it will be a better shape to keep his shoe one instead of a chunk missing.

My horse is done every 4 week throughout the year. If I let her go any longer she starts tripping as her feet grow terribly fast.

Tweenie goes every 8 weeks though and Ollie and Dinker are looked at every 4 weeks for their trims.

Oliver's having shoes on next time though as he's taking chunks out of his feet.

Good to see all your replies - i was beginning to think my horse had something wrong with her as all the others on the yard go 7-8 weeks. Luckily the farriers that do her are pretty flexible and are happy to come out for just one horse at quite short notice.
