How oftern do you......??

Only fallen off once on my boy (in the year I've had him). He tripped in front while cantering pretty fast in a field and drove me head first into the ground! I had nasty whiplash for days, couldn't turn my head at all.

But then I don't jump or anything anymore, and I have a horse who despite being green and occasionally spooky is very rider-friendly. So far (touch wood) he hasn't bucked, reared, napped, spun around, or ever tried to deliberately remove his rider, bless him.

haha Everyone *touch wood*!
I dont think I actually want to answer either! I used to fall off at the time but as I've got older it's been less frquent, haven't fallen off in almost 2 years - touch wood touch wood touch wood!!
At least I didn't ask when was the last time you had the vet out to your horse

Trouble with me is that although I don't fall too often (although its more than I would like) when I do I end up in hospital.

Last fall was in February and I am recovering from surgery.

Time before that was 3 years before, fell off a horse I was trying out. No serious damage but had to be checked out as I fell very hard on my back and I seized up and couldn't move.

Before that, horse slipped on road and I fell really hard and yet again ambulance and trip to hospital with poorly ankle and bruised ribs.

Before that, riding in a group, person in front decided to take off and have a canter along verge, my horse decided to follow and gave an almighty buck. I was riding on the buckle and off I flew ... hello A & E with concussion.

I hadn't fallen off for about five years then last year I was hacking a friends horse, trotting round a stubble field when he did the trip/spook/spin movement and I ended up on my feet holding the reins, facing him! Then about a month later I was jumping my boy and due to me not looking where I was going I failed to see a knocked down pole on the landing side so my poor lad launched into orbit to try to clear it and we came back down to earth separately. Undeterred, two weeks later I was jumping again and missed a fence badly, and instead of bailing me out he did a 180 on me and I carried on, and that, my friends, is when my bottle went!
