How sweet is this

Was out hacking the other day and an old lady pulled up in her car next to us and invited us to follow her back to her house where she had apples and sugar lumps for the horses!!

How lovely is that! She used to ride when she was a youngster and decided to move to the area because of the amount of riders and horses she sees every day. Bless her.

Its only a small thing but it was so lovely

AWW That is the nicest thing I have heard in a while!
I met a nice lady last week, I was schooling one of the horses in the menage in the park and she came and watched for a while then as we left the school she told us how lucky we were and that it was so lovely to see horses in London esp as hers had been PTS the week before, i felt so sad for her she was so nice!

My colleagues and patients bring in apples for my horses....

....and OH works with a bloke who has his own orchard and presently he's bringing in bucket loads of gorgeous apples for them....must admit I ate about 4 last night whilst mixing feeds

We always used to meet an old boy when out hacking who always used to stop us for a pat and always told us a lovely poem about horses!! Always lovely!

I was out hacking once and met an old woman walking her dog ... we said good morning to each other and as I went past she said, "Is he half Thoroughbred or just the quarter?" I was a tad surprised and ended up talking to her for ages!
