I'm really starting to worry with my 18 month old he's huge, bums about 16.1 withers 15'2 now I knew he was going to be tall mums 17'3 dads 16'1 but honestly I'm worrying I may have created a giant, please tell me that horses stop growing at 2 ;)

Please don't say that!!! My boy is 21 months old and is 15.3, with bum at 16hh! Mum is 15.2 and dad 16.1!!! (but there are bigger grand parents on both sides!)

My 3 1/2 year old is currently just over 14.3hh in front and just over 15hh behind. Imhoping for at least 15.1hh!

that is like mine... he's 4 at the end of April and i think he's about 15hh on the bum or a little more. I really hoped he'd make 15.2hh- he might do with shoes on :)

My filly is 3.5 and is a full up 15hh, expected to mature at 15.3hh.

She was 14hh at one year, so has not grown a lot since then, so maybe she'll make up for it over the next couple of years and surprise me!

The 2 18 month olds are 14.2hh and 14.3hh and a half at the minute. They are growing like weeds, if I squint I can almost see Pride growing in front of my eyes :D When we bought them as 11 months olds they were 12.2hh and 13hands. They have grown a terrifying amount in a very short space of time!

They are by a 17.2hh DWB with a bit of ID, stallion. The smaller one of the 2 is out of a 14.2hh mare and was supposed to make 14.2hh ish, hes already that. The other one is out of a 16hh mare and we thought would make 16hands give or take. I think we are looking at over 16hands for both of them. Bit gutting for me as the smaller one was bought to make a really smart sports pony type and that aint gonna happen now!

More worryingly there is as mare on the yard by the same stallion. Her dam was 15 hands ish, shes currently 17hands+ at rising 3.... The stallion is well known locally for stamping his stock and throwing big foals. I'm investigating step ladders as we speak :D

I really wanted him to make 15.2 + but dont know how optimistic that is. He has grown probably a inch since turning 3 :( he tends to grow more when being exercised though. I did the string test on him and it came out 16hh though :O he is really leggy though and if you saw him u would think hes a 2 year old.
