Hi, I have a 16.3hh bay Belgium warmblood called Bacardi who has just started to jump at local BSJA shows no further than 1 hour away. He always travels by himself in a Equi trek space treka L which can take 17.2hh horse so space is not a problem :) he always loads really well with no problem and travels rear facing with a haynet. However when we start to travel he stats to kick the rear wall and unless the show is no longer than 5 minuets away he comes out dripping wet in sweat :( which is horrible for him and difficult when it comes to going in the class :( He is six years old and i have only had him 6 months and has only started competing with me. He loves jumping and competing but his stress in the trailer is stop this.
I have stop competing at this time as my mam's car which tows the trailer has been in a accident so is now getting fixed and i don't want to take him any where cause of the stress :( i have looked at travel mirrors but im not sure
Is there any other way of helping him? (sorry for overload of info :))

Hi I had a problem with a mare I used to have. I spoke to a bloke called mickey Gavin who to me to slow down and come to a stop for a few seconds and then drive on and to do this every time she started to panic ( she travelled well until someone travelled her and gave her a bad journey , then she started scrabbling up the wall mainly round corners nightmare ! ) this did solve the problem a bit of a pain at first but after a couple of times out she was fine. If you ring him he will give you free advise or if he come out there will be a charge. Failing that taking the partition out that works to . Hope this helps
