Mine's quite good to be fair although I only even see it in the pitch dark with a head torch on to be fair.

I'm lucky insomuch that its on a slight slope and its a long paddock, about 300ft by 70ft.

I've had mud fever this year for the first time in four years in that paddock but its not been too bad.

Just three or four days of dry weather and the difference is incredible.

Would be better if the chafer grubs had emerged elsewhere the birds are systematically ploughing my grass up feeding themselves. Chafer grub nematodes this year I think

oldies big field is doing pretty well this year, bit boggy round the hay but the rest is OK. even when there is standing water the grass cover is good enough to hold up and it recovers well.

nursery paddock looks worse for wear. very little grass and a LOT of muddy divots! they are shut in at the moment as 3yo has an abscess. it's going to be carnage when they go out again. He arrived with mud fever but it has cleared up nicely, sometimes whatever causes it is just in the ground, and we don't seem to really have it here. so even though their shelter entrance is boggy it doesn't seem to cause a problem.

Little paddock at the yard doing OK considering. but those ones don't go out every day to avoid completely trashing it.

Ok mud wise but we are on quite a good mix of loam/clay. Sandy enough that it doesn't get too muddy but still quite fertile. Have been on very sandy soil before that had zero mud but grass didn't seem to grow as well.

Sadly our fields are now overgrazed due to new horses joining so whilst not muddy there really is very little grass and we moved to our "summer field" which now has no grass so have moved back off it but I just can't see it recovering in time for summer. But then I am moving with OH's next army posting in the Summer so suppose selfishly that won't be my problem!

Walking on my lawn is like walking on a sponge bin a bowl of water .
The field is muddy but I have seen it worse at this time of year but it’s now completely waterlogged and it’s still pouring .
I did not turn the in work horses out yesterday or today we popped Fatty out for couple of hours each day .
We did manage to ride in the least bad weather yesterday and today .
I hardly ever stop turnout but the water is just standing in the fields even my school has a puddle a sign the drains in the fields are full of water.
They won’t get out tomorrow either the forecast is awful .

my summer field is actually a lake and will be worse by tomorrow.

The winter field is a churned up patch of mud. I kept the pony in today because her paddock is slime and she will do acrobatics if she's bored / hungry. The big two went out but I think they just stood in one spot moaning once they'd finished the hay until I went up after lunch. Its shocking.
