I had my boots cleaned at HOYS by a guy (he was sat with maybe 4/5 others too) with something wax-like from a tub which he rubbed on with a cloth - it made my boots shine which I thought yeah okay, he then told me that it was £10 a tub and I simply didn't have the money!

It was only the day after at the yard when I was really impressed - it repelled the mud and water and lasted for a week or so! Now really regretting not buying some as I can't remember what it was!!!

Can anyone help???

I've used urad for years on my boots.. They have one for general leather work and another for saddlery..

I first met the company at RWHS 11 years ago..

Yes I had my boots cleaned and bought some too on the reccomendation of my friend who had gotten some earlier in the year at Burghley
It's Urad that your after, it should come up if you type it into google
Ps its very good I've waterproofed my motorbike leathers with it too;)

My friend bought some from YHL and I'm pretty sure it wasn't called any of the above names! I'll ask her tomorrow for you

Urad :) I bought some from Burghley a few years ago, and the tub is still going strong! It's fantastic stuff. Normally £10 a tub, or 3 tubs for £20.

Highly recommend it, won't use anything else on my boots now!

We use Renapur for show tack, especially if its going to rain.
Urad leaves tack shinier but leaves white marks when wet. So Urad not used on our tack at all this year! 2 very good products, I find.

I got some Renapur from windsor show a few years back , love it:D have even used it on my leather sofas:eek:

eta: when i first read the thread title i did wonder if the strange boot licker troll from last week had been busy at HOYS!! ;)
