If tearing my ligaments wasn't enough...
I have just had a text from my pony's loan owner to say he needs to come back to me :( Reason:She can't vault him.

I just don't know what to do! He is quirky but a complete cracker. He jumps 4ft, does PPC & MGA, done all PC camp etc etc, I won loads on him. He just doesn't seem to get on with anyone else :( Him coming back off loan is no fault of his own, he's only been there 6 weeks and they need time to gel?

Do I sell him? Loan him? Give him away? I can't ride through injury & have no saddle for him. I also have 3 other ponies!
Do I advertise as a project, companion, what? I can't cope with this again. I love him so much, I only want to do right by him!

Suggestions? :( Sorry I am having a bad day today!!

Perhaps put an ad on the pony club site for sale or loan or lwvtb and see what comes up. Some of the kids that do games would probably love to have him and cope well with quirks. The MGA site has adverts aswell good luck
 
Sorry to hear you not having a great time at the mo so sending *big hugs*.

I think you should bubble wrap him up & post him to me as he is my cup of tea :p. I would suggest you don't just give him away, but could you not try advertising for another loan/buy or even get a sharer?
 
He was on MGA website before, I had a list of people but threw it away because he was getting on so well in his new home...must have jinxed myself! :(

Nat88, he doesn't need bubble wrap, I'll put some stamps on him & he can make his way to you!

I love him to pieces, had him 6 years but now I don't compete and too big for him he is surplus to requirements and because he is quirky he is so hard to shift! He just needs someone that will sit there and ignore him, it's very hard haha!

Thanks for the hugs, now I need a glass of something strong!! :D

He was in Mid Glam when I bought him. I only ever did PPC on him (Poole). Before that I don't know his history, but they bought him as a ready made MGA pony so he must have been out and about before.
 
With a jump like that he should not be so difficult to sell, I would put him on the PC site but as more of a competition pony that can also do games, there will be more people looking to jump than PPC.
 
I have the same problem with my Section A, she's been returned twice due to not settling in her new home, it's such a shame as she is a fantastic pony that does anything and everything. She'll give her heart to the right person but I just can't seem to find anyone :(
 
Thankyou everyone. He is now for sale at a horrendously low price & still had no enquiries! It is so heartbreaking!

He's 13.1 but chunky & rides bigger (I'm 5'5 & don't look big), carries weight.

This may be your problem. Parents looking for ponies for kids will often not consider those that are priced very lowly, they tend to think theres something up with them, even if they are just a bargain! ;)
