Won't go in to all the history it's been long and stressful and i suspect that if this was my first post I'd be accused of living under a bridge
also in light of current post about poor pony being left tied and breaking a leg, the lesson of which was very fresh in my mind.
So.. Few days ago new person arrived at yard where friend's horse is kept and where I've been helping out with exercising horse's etc all winter but recently have fallen out with YO so I only go there now if I'm riding ASBO for my friend. I was told that the young pony which had just arrived had dreadful hooves .. As in long and turned up, but not to comment as YO is very pally with owner. Anyhow took ASbo cob for a hack and got back to find the pony short tied to a tree in a hedgerow. About 2 feet of rope so it couldn't graze and rope was secured well above it's head to a tree branch. Little creature was frantic when we got back and it can see two strange horses one of which is neighing loudly. The horses looked as surprised as we were I think! It had been on it's own for at least an hour and half by this time. In what equine care book is it ok to do something like this! Both the people responsible (hah) are experienced
horse owners.
By the time those responsible got back it would have been left tied up for over two hours. Yours truly one very pissed off and cross poster.
P.S.
And I did have a look at it's feet and they are a disgrace and will take a fair amount of work to get them in a sound balanced state.
