Well, I have arranged to go and see my boy this weekend, and I had decided to ask for him back, face to face, as many people on here suggested. I calmed down a bit, and started making some arrangements for him to come home - already have a sharer lined up for him, who will do a few days riding etc with him, great.
Right, this is where it might get complicated so bear with me... The lady that has him texted me (she still doesn't have my mobile number, just my landline, so she doesn't realise she is texting me) and said she would give up her other horse if it meant getting the one I am trying to loan out. I replied telling her that I already had people coming to see him, and that she wont be able to have him. Last night and this morning she has been calling. leaving messages and texting me, practically begging to come and see Ollie. I text her and said that I would not let him go on loan to someone who already had loan horses, and she replied "but I can't send this other one back as the owner really abused him and when he turned up he was skin and bones".
I am now furious (all over again). How DARE she!! None of my horses have ever been 'skin and bone' (apart from a rescue case who arrived like that) and the horse in question was probably the most pampered of all! I am now even angrier, and think I might just call her up this evening when she finishes work and tell her to cancel all her plans as we are going to get him straight away!!
