Ive been struggling with Moo, he is hot and sweaty even after a walk round the village so you can imaging him after a 5 mile drive with a lot of trot work, dripping and lacking energy but fit as a fiddle. Poor thing has never really got a summer coat through and his fur gets caught in his noseband and girth. So i decided enough was enough. Heres the before photo ...
No fine summer coat for us
He is a welsh section A x coloured cob so typical cob coat.
I am terrible at clipping and last year he looked scalped LOL, so i decided to ask a friend to give me a hand, she clips regularly as part of her job and she has opened my eyes to a new way of clipping, soooo much easier and even better...... NO LINES
So we took it all off and he instantly he looked happier. I filled a black bin bag with what came off, we couldnt beleive it bless him - he had a nice cool bath afterwards and is now covered up with his fly rug so he doesnt burn his pink bits.
Looking forward to taking him for a drive later to see how he is.
Eta - feet look atrocious now feathers have gone, farrier is coming out on tuesday thankfully
