I can't help my self, I love taking pictures and video of the boys. These were taken yesterday. Hersus is such a little dude and very fit for a Shetland.

Which picture do you like best ?

Just lovely. You have done so well with your horses, particularly getting the Shettie fit.
Great, and thanks for sharing :)

My PRE has an almost permanent droopy bottom lip too, even when he's really interested in something! Armas looks absolutely stunning...and Hersus is definitely a dude holding his own!

There was an Iberian Performance Show at Merrist Wood Arena this weekend. They had dressage and equitation classes amongst others. Some stunning horses there, I don't know much about the breeds but these photos of Armas look better than some of those posted from the show. He has so much presence.

Really you can see toe to heel? There's always one isn't there

Careful James next your skinny horse will have lamie....mind thoose toes curling ffs paint them pink man!

I think there is a bit of an optical illusion going on in the third pic that makes the front feet seem long, think its a tuft of grass or something

I like the first pic and love that their strides match exactly!

The second pic is my fave

Yes there is always one isn't there, From the photos , his feet look quite long, upright and boxy, maybe an optical illusion, but seen a lot of horses in Spain like it... Never mentioned laminitis, so why would you? I actualy have a lot of respect for James and his horses, and the stick he gets of certain people, my question was merely an observation, so get of your high horse

Ladies ladies ladies no handbags before dawn please unless I can be present to watch. Actually he was shod this week and is done every 5 weeks.

Ah ok, that must be the key to success then!

Mine gets led from my other horse a few times a week & has now started coming for a run with me ( he runs me into the ground! ) but he's still on the plump side of healthy. I've actually lunged him today for the second time and he was quite good so you've given me incentive to persevere.

Lovely, lovely boys you have.

Number 1 is definitely the one that I like best, even though Armas looks a little grumpy, you can't get everything, and it is fascinating that you've managed to catch them so synchronised.

If you want to see synchronized have a look at the video of them playing its super nice.
Key to a fit Shetland is let him run round with his mate !
