The horses are back at our (rented) field after 3 months at the livery yard and are all really happy and settled.
However, being there has reminded me of last years problems, and a neighbour told me of another.
One of the neighbours is a complete arse. Last year he was using some of the fence posts for target practice for his air rifle - while the horses were in the field. He stopped this when a shot went astray and hit another neighbours greenhouse while her children were playing nearby and she threatened to call the police. He chucked weedkiller over the fence to kill the nettles in MY field, then complained that the horses kept sticking their heads over his fence, which they wouldn't have been able to do at that time had he not killed the nettles. Of course the weedkiller on nettles could have had health implications for the horses too, luckily they were all ok. He told me he was putting razor wire on the top of his fence so the horses would slit their throats open. He has put barbed wire there instead.
Today I was chatting with another neighbour who adores the horses. She was telling me that last summer this arse of a bloke was calling the horses over then jabbing at them with sticks
When neighbour told me this I was quite upset and was ready to go round and speak to this arse. Neighbour stopped me as this bloke is known to the police and has a history of violence and intimidation towards anyone who crosses his path.
I am so pleased that all being well we will be out of there in a few weeks time and I won't have to worry about the horses and deal with this complete and utter arse.
He lives in a big expensive house, drives a flash car and is perfect example of how money can't buy class, or as my nan would say 'you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear'.
Thanks for reading, just needed to get that off my chest!
ETA: Horses are happy there, they stay away from arseholes garden when he is out and the other 3 neighbours keep a really good eye on them.
