he has been attacked again!

This time by a staffie whose owner screamed hysterically! i had to pick him up this time or he would be dead!

Im fuming that dog should not have been off a lead stupid stupid b****

We even went to class beforehand and she said we were doing well, in a matter of days am back to square bleeding one!

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Report it to your local dog warden. I personally go out of my way to avoid the regular dog walkers in my area. I know what time they walk their dogs and I time it to avoid them! :o

What did the Staffie do when he reached you?

We have already done so, first thing we did when we got home!

He grabbed our dogs back leg and started to shake him from side to side, so i grabbed its scruff and kind of threw it backwards and then grabbed our boy and did one.

Had him checked and he is ok, weight bearing and no damage tendons and ligaments etc thank goodness.

all i could hear was her screaming silly silly moo! no control over her dog at all.

Im getting so fed up of this we are thinking of putting the house up for sale, i cant and he cant keep going through this all the time! :(

what did the owner say once she'd stopped screaming?

You must be unlucky to live in an area with so many dogs like that with irresponsible owners...

Oh Gees how awful for you :(

We don't walk our dogs on the local doggy routes any more because there are so many stupid people about :o we prefer to drive to the local woods or take them out at the stable- fortunately they love it :D

You really are exceptionally unlucky :(, having been around CKCS all my life :o I have never known of one which is such a target for other dogs

If I were you I would try different routes etc where you can avoid other dog walkers, I know it could be seen as 'giving in' but TBH anything for a hassle free walk and no fright/pain for you and your dog :(

God poor little man.

Stupid bitch of a woman, why was the damn thing off the lead if she had no control :mad::mad:

Fingers crossed that all your work has not been undone and am very glad your poor little man was not injured.

Don't wish to rush you on this, but I think having him fixed will make the world of difference. An entire male dog who is shy and submissive will often find itself the target of attacks by other dogs.

There's a unneutered mini dachshund at the dog park who has the exact same issue. He is timid, ridiculously sweet, and is constantly a target for other dogs, who snap at his face or try to hump him (females and males).

Glad to hear your boy was unharmed.

Agree with this.

Agree with this.

We have discussed with the vet when we went to get him checked over before,
he is booked in to get it done this weekend!

hopefully should help, we had such a good day at doggie classes aswell

He's ok he's in bed with his buckwheat warmer for comfort :o ive been in tears on and off now about an hour :(

Galaxy23 she said she was very sorry and that he has never done that before etc etc - i wasn't interested at the time really! which was ignorant i know but i could have smacked her in the face tbh

What the dog handlers in the police use to ward off vicious dogs is fire extinguishers that fire off the nitrogen. This is done so the dog is put off by the whoosh from it not the stuff that actually comes out. But you would look menacing with one of these however you can buy an aerosol that only blows out air which is used for clearing out the keys on a computer and this should be sufficient to send these little ****s packing. worth a try.

Nice name.....don't think any of the PD handlers I know would try that (plus it's a bit of a handful to carry a fire extinguisher around :p)
The smaller device is a good alternative though.

You can get a purpose made "air spray" for dog correction. more powerful and noisy than the computer cleaning version. I sometimes carry one of those electric bug zappers that looks like a small tennis raquet. Works a treat on unwanted close contact by aggressive dogs, light touch on the nose of zap, yelp. Fed up with arrogant dog owners who have the "right" to let their dogs off lead when they have only 99% recall.

We had a great chat about this at training today.

Encounters which go like so, as has happened to a couple of us:

"Call your dog please!"
"But he's friendly!"
"MINE ISN'T!"

:p
