I feel sick - horse I really like has just been advertised...

Ooo, he's really rather gorgeous, isn't he?

Re loaning out the mini-est blitznbobs, tempting thought it may be at times, I do believe that there would be a lot more paperwork involved than in the standard BHS loan agreement.....:D.

Wheres the like button

he is rather gorgeous

Good lord! He's really lovely! BUY BUY BUY!!

As an aside, a friend of mine is looking to loan (long term, at least a couple of years) a pony for her daughter aged 8 - said daughter is a good little rider, in the Wirral area...

Send me the advert, Il go see him for you

Really like him, mine is a holstein and grew like a weed from 4.5 until 7, then started to fill out. Im sorry to say he won't stay at 17hh for long, unless you leave him the rain without a rug on ;). If not mines broken and i could do with another....

He's lovely but not sure whether it'd concern me he's up for sale again so soon?

Did he sell the first time around or is this the same owner/seller second time around?

He is lovely, and I think it would be perfect to have a youngster to run at the same time as your cob.

I really cant see the issue with keeping greys clean (although I admit that was actually a concern when I was looking). We ended up with a small grey thing and he is actually cleaner than the two bay TBs who roll in mud at any given opportunity. the grey actually looks grey and not brown whereas the two bay TBs look like mud.

I dont think your grey will be small though ... but he is absolutely beautiful.

Have you the time, money and energy required to do them all properly, without impacting on the rest of your life? If you were ill, could you afford to have them all looked after in your absence?

There, sensible questions. Nice horse though.

The only reason I don't have another is because I most definitely cannot afford it, and there's no room at the yard. So if you can afford it and have the room, then I'm not going to talk you out of it as I would get another in different circumstances! :)

It will hurt my bank balance rather a lot I imagine... Do you think
My 18in med wide Albion saddle would fit cos that's a 2 grand saving isn't it????

If you haven't ever ridden him you might not even like him under saddle. So you may as well go and ride it because you might well not love him so much after that. And if you still love him then at least you know!

Very good point. He may be awful to ride. Doubt it somehow.......... You owe it to yourself to find out, or will be forever tormented.

He's 17 hh and 4 year old holstein so pr/obably will grow more

My shire x TB fits fine in my Ifor 510. She does travel alone though with full width breast and breech bars. I once saw an 18hh percheron x andulusian come out of an Ifor 505 and he seemed quite happy (and he was huge!)

Actually this is true, I worked on a stud for a few years and loved one of the youngsters for showing, groundwork, couldn't wait til he was old enough to back but when he was it was.. meh

My dream horse finally came up for sale two years after I first saw him (he wasnt really seriously on the market first time round). It had killed me to walk away..despite having bought two others in the meantime (one the month before!) nowhere really to put him and no spare cash, I didn't hesitate.
Was I rash and irresponsible? Probably.
Have I had more than my fair share of problems with him? And some.
Do I regret it? Not in a million years.
If he stays in my field as an ornament for the rest of his life and never does a single thing, the happiness he has given me already is immeasurable.

He's a bit big - which he still is but hasn't really grown in the last 6 months.... I have an ifor williams 511 and don't want to change to a wagon but could at a push.
w.

I have an Ifor 505 and was very worried when we got a big 16.3 horse, but he fits in it fine without the partition in.

He looks lovely, is there any harm in just having a little look ? surely there is no such thing as a spare stable , more one waiting to be filled. we keep having to just build another one !!
