I feel sick - horse I really like has just been advertised...

Nothing ventured nothing gained. You'll kick yourself if you don't go and ride him. I would! We were looking for a loan pony for my son but I couldn't resist looking at the for sale ads too. Whoops, we ended up buying one. LOL

Good luck and keep us posted.

I enquired about my horse the first time I saw her advertised but she had just been sold. About 9 months later, she was advertised again (although I didn't realise it was her). We had to build a stable to accommodate her but she has been here 3 years now and although it hasn't all been plain sailing, I certainly don't regret a minute of it.
You have a spare stable, what are you waiting for?

He's 17 hh and 4 year old holstein so pr/obably will grow more

I'll buy him!

OMG, I really would buy him!!

Uh oh. I was in your position 4 years ago, saw a photo in an ad, fell in love, tried to put it out of my head as wasn't looking to buy a horse (was enjoying window shopping though!). Several months later up popped the ad again. Oh dear. Right, I thought, ill phone up, she'll tell me he's sold and I can forget about it. No such luck. Pony still for sale, she hadn't had a single person come to look at him. Right, I thought, I'll go look, won't like him as much in the flesh and can forget about him. D'oh. Pony in flesh is tiny, looks like a big foal, hadn't been backed yet, I was dying of girl flu, and yet when we got back in the car and family gave their opinions it was dad saying 'I think you should buy him' that swung it. (Had he only known how many times the pony would put my life in mortal danger I wonder if he would have said the same!)

Several days later the three year old unbacked tiny little thing was doing the wall of death around my field in the snow. I wouldn't swap him for any horse in the world. He is by far the best decision I ever made and my best mate....even if he is a bit of a mentalist!
